Being diagnosed with osteoarthritis has forced me make some radical changes in my life. Like re-evaluating how much physical activity is too much for me. I'm used to working hard -- I've worked multiple jobs simultaneously since I was 16 -- so it's a big psychological blow for me to call out when I feel I've been overworked.
I feel like there's something wrong with me for saying "enough is enough." Or maybe it's just not a thing I've ever witnessed anyone do before. People who aren't able to work aren't usually in the workplace. People who show up to work but aren't willing to do the work are considered lazy. But holy hell, even the military's basic training gives you some down time during the day.
